eLaunch on Facebook
Introduce your book to readers through a structured, celebratory and purposeful digital launch.
An eLaunch helps you gather your community, share the heart behind your book, create meaningful reader engagement and officially present your work beyond the printed page.
The story behind the book
Open each learning section and complete the preparation checklist to track your progress.
Two Main Stages of a Digital Book Launch
A successful eLaunch is more than posting a book cover online. It combines intentional promotion with a well-organised live presentation that gives readers a reason to pay attention, participate and respond.
Create one central place for your launch communication.
A Facebook Event is a dedicated event page used to announce the book, consolidate promotional information and invite your community to participate in the launch.
Rather than scattering information across several posts, the event page gives readers one clear location where they can find the date, time, meeting link, author details, book description and launch updates.
- Announce the book and its central message.
- Invite readers, friends, churches and partners.
- Share reminders before the launch date.
- Provide the virtual meeting or livestream link.
- Keep launch-related updates in one place.
Give readers an opportunity to meet the message behind the book.
The virtual meeting is the live launch session where the author shares the heart of the book, engages readers, answers questions and officially presents the work.
The gathering may be hosted through Zoom, Facebook Live, YouTube Live or another suitable platform. It should feel warm and celebratory while still following a clear programme.
- A welcome and opening prayer.
- An introduction of the author.
- The story behind the book.
- A short reading or featured extract.
- A moderated author conversation.
- Reader questions and responses.
- Book purchasing and distribution information.
- An official launch declaration and closing remarks.

Author’s Webpage
Every author deserves a credible digital home that reflects their calling, message and published work.
An author webpage brings your biography, books, interviews, photographs, marketing materials and important links together in one professional online space.
Books that inform, inspire and transform.
Complete the three lessons and tick the preparation items to track your progress.
Three Elements of a Strong Author Webpage
Your author page should not merely announce that you have written a book. It should help readers understand who you are, what you write about, why your message matters and how they can engage with your work.
Create a professional webpage for the author on the ACABA website.
The author’s webpage becomes the central online location for information about the author and their books. It should be clear, credible, visually appealing and easy to share.
Readers, event organisers, media professionals, reviewers, churches, schools and potential partners should be able to visit the page and quickly understand the author’s message and work.
- A professional author photograph.
- A clear biography related to the author’s work.
- The author’s books and book descriptions.
- Book-cover images and 3D mockups.
- Interview features, articles or testimonies.
- Purchase, contact and social-media links.
Present the author’s interview as one clear, readable and engaging post.
The interview gives readers an opportunity to understand the person behind the book. It reveals the author’s journey, inspiration, message, challenges and hopes for the readers.
Upload the interview questions and answers as one complete post. Use headings, short paragraphs, pull quotes and book images to make the interview easy to read.
- The author’s personal and writing journey.
- The inspiration behind the book.
- The people the book was written to serve.
- The main problem or need the book addresses.
- Lessons learned during writing and publishing.
- The impact the author hopes the book will make.
Use 3D book mockups to give the book a more tangible and professional presentation.
A flat book cover is essential, but a 3D mockup helps readers imagine the book as a physical product. It adds depth, visual appeal and variety to the author’s webpage and promotional materials.
Upload several mockup variations that can be used on websites, social media, digital posters, interviews, reviews and launch announcements.
- A standing front-cover book mockup.
- A front-and-back cover presentation.
- A paperback stack or multiple-book display.
- A book displayed on a phone, tablet or laptop.
- A lifestyle scene appropriate for the audience.
- A transparent-background PNG for graphic design.

Protect. Register. Certify.
We connect you to the legal and bibliographic foundations that protect, identify and legitimise your published work.
Copyright registration, Kenya National Library Service submission and professional certificates help establish your work formally while recognising the author’s writing and publishing journey.
This certificate recognises the author’s successful writing and publishing journey.
Complete the four lessons and tick the preparation items to track your progress through this step.
Four Important Author Records
A published book should be supported by more than a printed cover. Legal registration, bibliographic records and formal certificates help document the author’s work and recognise important milestones in the writing and publishing process.
Copyright registration formally connects the author to their original work.
Copyright recognises the author’s ownership of the original literary work and helps establish a formal record of authorship.
While an original work may receive copyright protection from the time it is created, formal registration provides useful documentation that may support the author when proving ownership or addressing unauthorised use.
- The name of the author or rights holder.
- The title and nature of the literary work.
- The date and details of the registered work.
- The person or organisation claiming ownership.
- A formal record that may support future rights management.
KNLS submission helps establish the book’s bibliographic and national publication record.
The Kenya National Library Service plays an important role in documenting published works, supporting bibliographic records and preserving Kenya’s published heritage.
Depending on the publishing stage, the submission process may relate to ISBN records, bibliographic information, legal deposit copies or other national library requirements.
- The official title and subtitle of the book.
- The author, editor, illustrator or contributor.
- The publisher and place of publication.
- The book format, edition and publication year.
- The ISBN and other bibliographic information.
Recognise the author’s transition from manuscript writer to published author.
The Published Author Certificate formally recognises the completion of the publishing process and the release of the author’s book.
It may be presented during a launch, graduation, publishing celebration or another suitable author recognition event.
- The author’s official name.
- The title of the published book.
- The date or year of publication.
- The publisher or issuing organisation.
- Authorised signatures and official branding.
Recognise the author’s commitment to structured writing training and manuscript development.
The Writing Class Certificate of Completion recognises participants who have fulfilled the agreed training, writing and participation requirements of the programme.
It acknowledges discipline, growth, accountability and the author’s progress towards completing or strengthening their manuscript.
- Attendance and participation in the writing sessions.
- Completion of agreed writing assignments.
- Submission of the manuscript or required sections.
- Participation in feedback and revision activities.
- Fulfilment of the programme’s graduation requirements.
