You Are Already Victors In Christ – Magdaline Mwithaga

My name is Magdaline Mwithaga. I am an Interior and Fashion Afro-fusion Designer with an intercessory calling. I am passionate about seeing people set free and thriving in their God-given gifts and talents. I am married to Lawrence, and together we have two adult sons. We live in Anmer, Kiambu County, Kenya.

My Mission

I am writing Shadows and Light, a book inspired by Psalm 23 and the spiritual journey of a believer through life’s battles, trials, and refining seasons. My motivation came from recognising that when we become believers, we submit our will to God and choose obedience, but we are not always prepared for the battles of the mind, soul, and spirit. These in-between seasons can become God’s purifying fire, refining us to come out as gold. Through this book, I desire to encourage believers to recognise that despite the trials and temptations they encounter, they can overcome because they are already victors in Christ.

My Writing Process

I cannot say that I experienced writer’s block, but I became very busy during the writing process. I continually prayed that I would keep flowing as the Holy Spirit led me. At first, the writing journey seemed easy, but as I progressed, my schedule became busier. I had to revisit why I was writing the book and remind myself why the Spirit of God had prompted me to write. Remembering that calling gave me the encouragement to keep going.

My Writing Class Experience

My experience with content writing in the Onyx Writing Class was amazing. The support was immediate and encouraging, and the instructors patiently walked with us whenever we got stuck or did not understand the instructions. The media content sessions with Dr. Muthoni also made the process seem much easier. She explained things in clear and understandable ways that made writing exciting.

My Posture

I have not received feedback on the book yet, but I remain committed to the journey and to allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the message. I would recommend the CLC Writing Class to others at any time because it provides the guidance and support needed to help writers fulfil the God-inspired assignment of bringing the book placed on their hearts to life.

Closing Reflection

Writing Shadows and Light has reminded me of the importance of returning to the reason God gave the assignment in the first place. Even when life becomes busy, remembering the calling gives me the strength to continue. My desire is that this book will encourage believers navigating spiritual battles and difficult seasons to remain steadfast, knowing that God can use the refining process to strengthen them and that, in Christ, they are already victorious.

CLC Kenya Celebrates 18 Graduating Writers from the Onyx Writing Mentorship Class

CLC Kenya joyfully celebrated the virtual graduation of 18 writers from the Onyx Writing Mentorship Class, marking another milestone in raising Christian authors across Africa. Facilitated by Jackline Ingasian and hosted by Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the graduation brought together writers from Kenya and Uganda who have completed manuscripts across various genres, including memoirs, marriage guidance, Christian living, parenting, children’s devotionals, inner healing, financial stewardship, leadership, and discipleship.

During the ceremony, each writer shared their writing journey, the inspiration behind their book, and the lessons learnt through the mentorship process. The event also highlighted CLC Kenya’s wider mission of advancing the gospel through Christian literature, a mission connected to CLC’s global work across 44 countries.

The CLC Kenya’s Writing Class has continued to grow since its beginning in 2020, raising writers who are not only completing manuscripts but also preparing to publish books that will serve families, churches, communities, and nations.

The 2026 graduating writers were encouraged to move forward into the publishing and marketing phase, with the hope of celebrating their published works in 2027 with an in-person graduation set for 28th November 2026 at Garden Estate.

As the session closed in prayer and thanksgiving, the charge was clear: graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of greater stewardship. These writers carry stories, testimonies, teachings, and messages that can impact Africa and beyond.
